This rubber tired gantry crane is a special container handling machine for storage yard. It moves on rails to lift and stack 20, 40 and other containers in the yard area of the container terminal. The container is lifted by a spreader attached to the cable. These cranes are specially designed for dense container stacking because they are automated and do not require manual handling.
Features
The rubber tired gantry crane has the advantages of electric drive, cleaning, large lifting capacity and high speed of gantry cargo transportation. This crane is a large quay side portal crane, which can be used to load and unload intermodal containers from container ships. It is flexible and free from orbit restrictions. Because of the tire type running structure, there is no special fixed track, which can not only move forward and backward, but also turn 90 degrees left and right. It is equipped with a steering device, which can be transferred from one box area to another for operation with high flexibility.
